On ITV1 in the UK the other day, they showed an episode of Qunicy ME.

It was quite an interesting plot involving the burial of illegal migrants
who had died of typhus (I think) and were buried in a supposedly disused
cemetery.

I noticed that Greg Morris had a part. He was introduced as the County
Engineer, Cliff Collier!

If I remember correctly, his name in M:I was Barney Collier and he was an
engineer, was he not?

I wonder if his appearance was meant to be his civilian 'cover'?

That's an interesting observation. I suspect that whoever wrote the episode
(perhaps in collaboration with Mr. Morris) used that name to tweak viewers
who undoubtedly knew about his "former life" as a secret agent.

Greg Morris, according to IMDB, made more than 20 guest appearances on
television in the last two decades of his life after Mission:Impossible, as
well as a continuing role on "Vega$" (though three of them, of course, were
in the revival series reprising his Barney Collier role) -- including
another episode that (like the episode of "Quincy") I recall seeing when it
was originally broadcast. The other one that I remember was an episode of
"The Six Million Dollar Man" (sorry -- my tastes *have* improved since
then!), in which, as IMDB notes, he played an injured pilot without any
other name. He also appeared in a three-parter of "The Jeffersons" in 1983
that I believe Patrick White mentions in his book called "Mission:
Incredible" in which he apparently is, or is suspected of being, a secret
agent.

Actually, in retrospect, one of the saddest things that I recall about that
"Quincy" episode is how much older he looked even though it was just four
years or so after the "Six Million Dollar Man" appearance and just five
after the end of "Mission" -- he had the beginnings of the jowlier look that
he displayed in the revival series a decade later (some of it, no doubt, due
to his lifelong smoking habit). For someone who had looked so youthful and
vigorous on his most famous show, his sudden deterioration when I saw him on
"Quincy" -- no matter how gradual -- still strikes me today as having been
something of a shock.
