Just a quick post to let people know that The Mission: Impossible
Archives are now back online after several years of being off-line. I
have updated the style of the site and tweaked the content slightly
but I am very interested in adding more content to make the site the
most comprehensive M: I resource on the internet.

For this I really need your help. If you have an idea of what you
would like to see on the site for the benefit of new M: I fans then
please email me. I'd like to add more sections but I'm at the limit
pretty much of what I can do on my own / know about Mission
Impossible.

If anyone would like to get involved and play a part in the content
then I'd really like to hear from you.

The site address is:

Having had a careful look around at the current stock of fan sites,
things appear to have moved on quite a bit since 1998 and there is so
much more information on things like memorabilia and quite detailed
information about every episode on various sites out there. Rather
then try to create a central resource and undermine other peoples hard
work I will instead try to link to other fans sites and direct
visitors to my site onto theirs for different information.

The only reservation I have about this is that I have seen several fan
sites just disappear over the years due to hosting on free shared
hosting servers. The distributed nature of the information makes it
easy for bits to become lost. I hope in 50 years time, the current
sites are just as strong then as they are now.

It was cheeky of me at that younger age but I am quite glad that I did
grab a lot of the Paramount www.missionimpossible.com site's content
before they tore it all down and replaced it with the M: I 2 film
info. Maybe one day after they've got tired of peddling Mission
Impossible 4/5/6/whatever they'll finally revert the site and make a
bit of an effort to give information on the original series. This
would allow new people who may be just watching the tv one day and get
hooked (like I did) to quickly understand what the show is about and
where it came from. At the moment it is a shear waste of a domain
name, (IMHO) sadly.
